It’s easy to toss around the word “hustle” nowadays, but few live up to the task like Tia Blanco. Not only is she a surfer of the highest caliber, but she’s also a wellness guru and entrepreneur with her own skincare line, Dear Self. And amidst all that, she somehow finds time to sling some paint on canvas and make amazing vegan food (which you need to try asap). She’s a RAEN Ambassador in the truest form, with an unrelenting drive and positivity that comes through in everything she touches.
Thankfully, Tia had a few minutes to chat with us about her new projects, new hobbies, and the power of positivity. Take a minute and enjoy the view of life Through the Eyes of Tia Blanco.
Are you moving permanently to Hawaii?
I love Hawaii... It is such a beautiful lifestyle and surfing there is such a dream. Since I grew up part time on Oahu, I have all my childhood friends there, which makes it feel like my second home. With my immediate family still being in SoCal, I plan to go back and forth!
What have you been up to in Hawaii?
Surfing a ton and hanging out with my friends.

Any new hobbies that came about during quarantine?
I have been loving to paint lately. It is a new passion of mine that I just picked up a couple months ago. It has been such a fun & healthy outlet for me.
Tell us more about your yoga practice and vegan cooking (@tiasvegankitchen).
I have been practicing yoga ever since I can remember. I try to get on my mat and practice yoga daily, whether it is for 5 minutes or an hour, it always makes me feel good. I have been vegan for about 8 years now and I absolutely love the lifestyle!
